MARIAH CAREY NETS HER 16th #1 DANCE HIT WITH LATEST SINGLE, “TRIUMPHANT (GET ’EM),”

(Oct. 12, 2012 – New York, NY) Multi-platinum global superstar Mariah Carey notches her Sweet 16th #1 hit on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs chart with her latest single, “Triumphant (Get ’Em).” Mariah’s previous #1 hits on the Billboard Dance chart include “Dreamlover,” “Fantasy,” “Honey,” “We Belong Together,” “Don’t Forget About Us,” “Touch My Body.” and “Obsessed.”

Mariah, who will join the judges’ panel of FOX’s American Idol when the series returns in 2013, boasts an unparalleled music catalog with #1 hits in multiple formats on the Billboard charts. The original version of “Triumphant (Get Em)” feat. Rick Ross and Meek Mill was followed-up with the “Pulse Club Remix” and the “Vintage Throwback Mix,” as well as four additional remixes by Laidback Luke, Chus and Ceballos, Danny Verde, and Papercha$er. “I've always had so much fun re-singing my songs for the club/dance mixes,” said Mariah. “It gives me the freedom to sing as powerfully as I want and to rewrite the songs specifically for the genre.”
“Triumphant (Get ’Em)” is the first advance single from five-time Grammy Award®-winner Mariah’s 14th studio album, whose release will be announced in the months ahead. The new album follows up Mariah’s worldwide multi-million-selling Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel (released September 2009), her multi-platinum E=MC²(2008), and worldwide 10 million selling The Emancipation Of Mimi (2005).
The Emancipation Of Mimi generated three Grammy awards (including Best Contemporary R&B Album), two #1 singles, and countless more honors during its 18-month chart stay.
